Nueva China

Hello!
Today I’m going speak about the world's favorite topic: food!
Everybody loves the food, because the food is delicious, is simple.
But, there are types of foods that are better than others, and and restaurants better than others.
I'm not a lover of Chinese food but the restaurant “Nueva China” located in the commune of Independencia is the heaven. Really, is beautiful, delicious but expensive…
This restaurant is located next to the Plaza Chacabuco and my favorite plate is the wonton stuffed with cream cheese, called "special wonton": Imagine a crispy wonton filled with cream cheese plus a shrimp encime… just imagine it! not delicious?
I confess that I love to eat meat with many dressings. I'm far from vegetarian… In Nueva China, cook all types and meats.
As I said, the restaurant is very expensive but my favorite plate are less expensive.
However, I recommend this restaurant because is very beautiful and attention is good. Is perfect for an important occasion or to go with the couple.
On the other hand, this restaurant have very novel plates. The starters are very novel, not all the Chinese restaurants have.
Anyway, I highly recommend it, but bring money!

Good bye!
Hello everybody!
Today I’m going speak about music.
Everybody loves music, I do not feel special because I love music. But, an ode more will not hurt ...
Music is very special for me because it was with me in my adolescence. The music made me grow. For the music I'm the person I am now…
I love many types of music but I don’t love all the music (is very different). For example, I love the French music, the movement of the “new chance”, but I hate Mexican music (especially that song that says “ayayayai… canta y no llores…”
Lately my favorite music genre has been the metal. But, any metal not. I love specific bands, for example, I love with all my heart Katatonia. Katatonia is the best  in the world…! Ok, is not the best in the world (perhaps the best in the world either justice or peace), but is very good.
However, I can not say nothing about Sonata Arctica. My favorite song of this band is “Paid in full” yes, “Paid in full” is like a catharsis, is wonderful!
Someday, I will go to Scandinavia and go to all the concerts of these bands (Sonata Arctica is from Finland and Katatonia is from Sweden)… is one of my dreams! These bands have come to chile (and I've gone to concerts) but I want to see them in those countries.
Someday!

Hello everybody!
Today I’m going to speak about my career : psychology.
I study psychology because I believe it is a tool to change society and because I love psychology, philosophy and education.
The psychology has many branches: clinical, juridical, forensic, organizational, educational, social, etc.  All these branches can contribute to society in different ways. Psychology can contribute in the justice, can improve education, can help build communities, can improve the work environment of companies and much more!
For this, the professionals in the area need a lot of knowledge, not only psychological disorders, the psychologists need to know about penal system, history of Chile, biology, sociology, economy, etc, etc. Our knowledge must be many and also comprehensive.
And finally, my favorite subject in this semester is educational psychology, I love it!

Bye!

Strike.

In this time, the strike is very popular in the public universities and schools, but, it is effective?
Today the most important thing in the society is the economy, the strikes serve when affect the economy, so, our strike affects the economy?
No and they know it. Everybody knows that the strike doesn’t affect the economy, the strike is a battle outcry, the strike is for us.
So, what are my reasons to go on strike? do not matter, because I'm in the minority. I do not like the politics based on feelings. In think that is important to voice with marches but Chile will change with projects and structured politics.
I do not agree with the strike because it has negative consequences: the strike produces frustration and exhausts all forces.
I have not gotten anything from this strike, on the contrary, has affected negatively my academic career, I will know less stuff. For example, in the subject of educational psychology, we had three or four classes. I want to be a educational psychology.
When I finish my career I want to work for Chile, but how can I be a good professional if I do not receive the minimum knowledge?
I also want to change things but we can’t keep using the same methods that have failed for years.

So schools kill creativity?

Hello everybody!
First, I want to remember that we are in difficult times: long strike is coming, January classes also, and the free education? Someday… I hope.
Speaking of education, in the class saw an interesting video (very funny, really), I laughed a lot with him but that does not mean that the video does not make sense. In fact, this video reminded me many truths about the archaic educational system. This video is called ‘Sir Ken Robinson's talk "Do Schools Kill Creativity?"’
The title is a question and I have an answer long ago: YES! THIS education kills creativity, but not only creativity, kills the freedom.
This education this education destroys the real person and makes robots or worse: professionals without passion, metrosexuals, etc. Because this education is reproduction of the market.
The video mentions the invention of ADHD and how it was used to control the education. A shame for psychiatry and psychology...

Finally, I think it's very important to emphasize the task of psychologists in education. Our work is an academic and practical work because we need to know and understand our subject to implement in the society. Psychology can do much for education.

About my presentation

I chose the topic of the Enneagram of personality because I like this and and it makes little sense. The Enneagram is used in humanistic psychology, is the base in some therapies. I like the humanistic psychology and I identify with the principles of this, in fact, I did not choose to be a "humanistic psychologist", humanism chose me.

In the presentation, I think my organization was well, it was a logical order. On the other hand, I think it's very difficult to organize a short presentation because the topic is very deep and complex and the presentation is very short.

If I did it again, I would try to deepen more the topic. I feel I should have talked about the essence of the Enneagram, the philosophy behind the Enneagram.

As I said in my presentation, nobody knows the author of the enneagram, but it’s born in Babylonia culture. Today, some humanistic psychologists have studied the Enneagram and make contemporary theories adapted to today's society.

I think that this topic is interesting for the potential on self-knowledge. Not need to be
a humanistic psychology to use the Enneagram, self-knowledge and spiritual growth.

Santiago: the beautiful and the ugly

My vision of Santiago is very positive because I love this city with my entire hearth.
First, I love live in the capital: Santiago is the place of the opportunities in Chile because the majority of the things happens here: the best concerts, the art exhibitions, etcetera.
Second, Santiago is a big city with six millions of habitants, this place never finish! This is wonderful because to get bore is impossible, the possibilities are infinite.
But, for the other hand, Santiago have a many problems. I hate the geographic segregation: the rich people live in a place and the poor people in other place, that is not fair! In addition, the pollution will kill us someday and the public transport makes me cry, really.
For the change this situation we need finish with segregation:  rich people and poor people in the same place! No more exclusive neighborhoods!
We need renewable energy, recycle programs and education for the population. The people need know how recycle and why.
In the transport is completely necessary build more lines of underground and put in the Estate’s hands the Transantiago.
If I met a visitor, I would give him or her many tips: first, bargain the prices. Second, make  friends in order not visit the dangerous neighborhoods alone (because he must meet all Santiago) and, third, visit Barrio Bellavista, the museums, and the forest park, are beautiful and very fun!
